3D NanoShell
 

3D NanoShell uses a two layer construction to protect sleeping bag down from both external moisture and condensation from vapour leaving the users body. The outer layer is windproof, water repellent and breathable. It acts to protect the down from external moisture. The inner layer is a thin non-woven silicone encapsulated layer. As vapour from the body moves through the down and comes in contact with the shell, if the temperature is low enough it will form as condensation on the inside of the shell. The hydrophobic properties of the inner layer traps the condensation close to the outer shell thus preventing the down from getting damp.

2D NanoShell

2D NanoShell is the lightest, most breathable water resistant shell fabric in Sea to Summit's range. The Nano DWR treatment is highly durable due to the tiny particle size of the repellent allowing a greater quantity of particles to attach to the fabric fibres and adhere better than larger particles. The treatment has been designed to optimise breathability while providing a windproof and water repellent shell protecting the down from external moisture.
