MSR, for over 40 years, have manufactured high end, cutting edge, innovative products for hiking, trekking, skiing, snowshoeing and expeditions. It was established by Larry Penberthy, an engineer and climber, in the late 1960's. He was keen to investigate why climbing gear failed and began testing equipment. From the results of these tests he found he was able to design products that were stronger and functioned better than what had come before. Today MSR, now owned by Cascade Designs, still sets the standard for high performance equipment for the outdoor industry, including tents, stoves, snowshoes, cookware, water treatment, trekking poles and snow tools.

excellent hydration storage - great serviceBy: Bruce on 23 January 2014The first thing that happened was the product got here so fast I was stunned. A big thank you to Hiking.com. The Dromedary Bag (I ordered a 4 liter one) is exactly what it says - a versatile, well designed container made in a heavy weight material with a very good interior coating. Mine is currently living in my freezer awaiting my next SUP ride, or kite buggy blast. Yes, you can freeze it (try not to fill it right up beforehand or there may be damage), drag it out when you are off out, and in my case dump it on the floor of the car until I need it. It is simple and effective, with a large fill cap and a flip up spout to drink direct from the pack. I also purchased the hands free kit which is easy to set up and a breeze to use. Not the most attractive bag out there but excellent for the job.
