One Planet - Sac +4 Sleeping Bag - Regular

The Sac 4 is our light outdoors and travel bag. It's great for two-season camping and travelling in all seasons. This easy-care sleeping bag is designed for general use and is available in regular and large sizes. (Not all colours available in all versions.)

The Sac is not as simple as its name suggests. It features the latest in sleeping bag technology: a three-layer fill; lightweight, breathable Vapour Vent fabric; a comfortable, efficient, tapered rectangular shape and all the technical features you expect from a One Planet bag.

All bags have a first insulation layer of X-Static® fibre, while the Sac 4 also has an innovative and unique suspension system combining a woven fibre mid layer and outer thermal barrier to increase thermal efficiency without weight and bulk. Adding to your comfort are the silky, 30-denier Vapour Vent fabric and the bi-directional zips, which allow you to vent your feet or zip the bag to others in the One Planet range. To keep the cold out, we’ve gone 3D: for the hood, foot cavity and neck muff, as well as the double draft tubes on the zips.

All our synthetic sleeping bags use X-Static® fibre as their first insulation layer, trapping warm air close to the body. This high-tech fill is made up of polyester short-staple fibre - short strands of high-denier filaments, making the bag soft, flexible and compressible -  which has been completely and permanently coated with pure silver. This coating gives the fibre many naturally occurring properties. In cold temperatures, most heat loss occurs through radiation; however, the silver coating reflects heat back from the fibre into the bag. Silver also reduces odour for two reasons: it is antimicrobial, so it makes your bag less attractive to micro-organisms which might otherwise make it their smelly home; and it neutralises ammonia and denatured proteins, two principle causes of stink. Suspension system

Our warmer bags use an innovative and unique suspension system to increase thermal efficiency without weight and bulk. The system consists of three layers, varying in thickness in different models.

•    Internal layer of X-static® fibre reflects radiant heat and reduces odour.
•    Suspension mid layer: this lattice of loosely woven tubes of fibre traps pockets of warm air between the inner and outer layers.
•    Outer thermal barrier suspended by the mid layer.
