Wilderness Equipment I Overhang Tarp

A large, economical Overhang for outdoor ed institutions. The i-Overhang is designed and built to the same standard as all our other models but with this product you get to supply your own guy cords, tailored to you use and budget. The fourteen guy attachment points follow our original design tear-drop shape providing considerably better strength than common triangular reinforcement patches. For this product the guy attachments are single-layer Hypalon fabric (so no pouches) and they are fitted with Acetal rings to dissipate the stress at the guy cord loop.

The i-Overhang features a reinforced ridge seam and simple, catenary-cut fabric panels either side of this main seam. The ridge seam and the two mid-panel guy points per panel, each side of the ridge, are factory seam-sealed. Guys are attached to the tarp fabric body via our unique design, tear-drop-shaped Hypalon attachment patches. These flat patches distribute stress into the fabric panels better than any other simple reinforcement system. Acetal triangles are fitted to each hypalon patch. You supply the guy cord to be tied to these triangles. Choose a cord to suit your budget and cut it to any length that meets your needs. This large tarp lacks nothing in engineered strength. You can have confidence that your i-Overhang, tautly pitched, will resist high winds.

The standard 75d polyester tent fabric is the economical fabric choice for a shelter expected to perform in a wide range of conditions but where weight is not so critical and slipperiness to snow and resistance to prolonged UV exposure are not critical requirements. Well cared for and maintained this 75d Overhang will give many years of reliable service.

The large Overhang makes an ideal cooking or field meeting shelter. It's big enough to work effectively, even when pitched up a little higher. A favorite in Tasmania.
